Points before buying your first LAPTOP

          Most of you would be in your college somewhere and reading this blog on your phone or on a PC in computer centre(CC),thinking upon buying a laptop of your own.Well the situation is same with me too.So here is some 'must keep in mind' points,which I collected after spending hours over Internet,before you buy an expensive showoff stuff (of no use) for yourself.

1. BUDGET :
 Spending a lot of money is not always a solution.You have to think and decide what you need and then spend accordingly.Some people might need it for just presentation and will buy some expensive stuff just after its look and will end up having a high-spec laptop don't even knowing its full ability.If you need such presentation type stuff,then you need not to spend a lot on it.You can even get a Lenovo Slatebook under Rs.10,000.If you are looking for Gaming devil then you might need to think again on your budget cause Dell has its best Gaming Laptop(Alienware) having a price around 1.9lack.
  But can you guess who manufactures the World's Expensive Laptops??"LUVAGLIO".Many of us would not have heard about this.It cost $1,000,000(Rs.6 crore).No other expensive laptop in the world can even think of coming closer to this price. If you wish to own this master piece make sure you have a huge bank balance. Even you are ready to spend such huge amount out of your wallet, you can’t buy it just like that. You have to place the order online and have to wait for your request processing. Your request will be processed only after verifying if you are rich enough to get one. Beauty about this laptop is that you can customize its design, spec and even the material in the way you want to. Obviously, when you are paying such huge cash, you have the right to pick all these. You can choose anything from wood, Iron and metal to build your  master piece.  If you are a student like me then you might need a multitasking laptop on which you can enjoy movies-games and also want it to look amazing then Rs.50k-60k would be enough.

2. Processor :

Intel Core Processor

   You would be amid two options provided by Intel,when you will look for processors.i5 and i7.As its clear from its name,i7 is latest and is much faster than i5 but it also have some of its drawbacks over i5.It consumes more power and is expensive.So if you are tight on your budget then go for i5 but if budget is not an issue then surely I would suggest i7.

3.HardWare :

External Hard Disk

It totally depends on who is going to use this. If its being shared then ofcourse you need a heck of disk space but its for your personal use then you need not to worry about the hard disk.1TB(1024Gb) is enough for ordinary purpose,if you are not a HD movie collector geek.You can even buy an external hard disk if you want.It merely costs Rs.5k to Rs.6k.When talking about the RAM,the story repeats on how it would be used.Greater the RAM,faster is the laptop and ofcourse,expensive it would get.For us,8GB of RAM would be sufficient to have hold over our activities.

         

4. Screen Size :

There are basically 4 different size ranges available in the market.

• 11 to 12 inches : Thinnest and the lightest
• 13 to 14 inches : Great balance between portability and usability
• 15 inches : The most popular
• 17 inches : Biggest and require much processor and battery.

Answer is clear : 15 inches

       So all in all you would be looking for i5/i7 processor with 1TB of HDD ,8GB of RAM,2GB of Graphics card installed on it which would cost you around Rs.50k to 60k.Whatever  you read here was my opinion.I would rather suggest to search the internet and visit the stores by urself to have a deeper look in it.Now comes the most interesting part of the story.After buying the laptop you would certainly be searching for some of the Accessories.So here we go..

1. A set of wireless Mouse and Keyboard (Rs.1200)
2. Speakers
3. A pen drive
4. Headphones
5. Cooling Desks
6. Wireless Printer (Rs.6000)

Workshop At IIT Kharagpur

           Rushing to room after attending the lectures,I saw a notice about a 2-day workshop on Ethical Hacking and Blogging being arranged at IIT Kharagpur by renowned,world"s 22nd youngest hacker & blogger Prameel Arjun.I have always been attracted to such stuffs,especially hacking so I registered myself for this internship..

           Days pass very fast at colleges and soon weekends arrived and I was ready with my bag to cover a journey of around 150km from Jamshedpur to kharagpur.Train took around 2 hrs from Tatanagar railway station to Kharagpur railway station.I had heard about Kharagpur having one of the longest platform(1,072.5 m) in India and I found it correct upto some extent.Some of its platform were so long that a single platform has its different number from both ends.

          I took a paid taxi from station to IIT gate and it took around 15 mints to reach there.I with my rest of the friends entered the campus in search of Bhatnagar Auditorium.The atmosphere was so green and I was mesmerised to feel this intense peace and calmness.Everything was appearing perfect.

        Well,within 10 mints or so we were questioned by the security officers at two different check posts and were finally stopped at Main gate.We had not even eneterd the college and were stopped twice inspite of their knowledge that we were Nit students.Yes!This was the security even on the weekends when most of the college remains closed.After waiting almost for 30 mints,the members of D3 labs(Organisers of the workshop) came to us and guided to our destination.

      The auditorium was nice as expected with a  capacity of around 500 students.Students from different colleges started gathering and the hall was full in no time.It was 1330 and Prameel joined us on time.I have not heard about him and I was unaware of his achievements till the President of Cultural Committee,iitkgp introduced him to us.By appearance he does not appear so epressing but soon everyone was singing on his beat.

      First day ended at 2200 and it was mainly focussed on blogging stuffs.Its beacuase of him only, am posting this blog.We spend more than 6 hrs sitting in that hall at the same place but I could hardly scroll through my watch to see the time,it was that much interesting.He left us with a promise to see us again tomorrow with much more interesting hacking and spoffing.

      After the workshop,we were lead toward a restaurant where we had our dinner.Some one from the organisers said that there are more than 50 places to eat at night here at iitkgp and I was not surprised to hear this because there was something like CCD or the veggies at every footstep covering the entire campus.At around 12 in the night we were at the boys hostel where we were provided with the accomodation. The room was pity much good for two (But not good as ours).That night,I had tears in my eyes for the reason that if  I could have worked harder than I might have got some branch in here.But anyways,everything happens for a reason and I slept thinking about tomorrows session.

       I reached back to Bhatnagar Auditorium at specified time at 0800.The hall was filled again in less than 15 mints.Prameel
Sir was also back with his known enthusiat and smile.We learned how to hide my identity over the internet,crack a locked pc,trace someones activity over internet and the most important how to crack fb account,access whatsApp id and call spoffing.At the end of  the session Prameel Sir had gained a lot of respect n my eyes.I was left with many small and important utility tricks.The final session lasted till 1800(including break) and I caught the train at 1900 and got back to my life at NITJSR...
